WinHex 9.7 will have a scrolling synchronisation feature, accessible from the Window menu. Up to 4 windows will be supported. First, the windows are tiled. Scrolling carried out in one window is applied to the other open windows as well, such that all windows will always show the same offsets at corresponding screen positions. This should facilitate visual comparison of files and disks.

As always, comments are welcome.

Further enhancements of WinHex 9.7:

* Cluster chain inspection on FAT16/FAT32 drives under Windows NT/2000 will be faster.

* Keyboard navigation within templates will be easier.

* As a first step to make the details panel more interactive, you will find there a button in case the FAT16/FAT32/NTFS boot sector or master boot record of a drive/disk is currently on the screen. Click this button to invoke the respective template.

WinHex is currently being translated into (Brazilian) Portuguese. It is not yet determined whether or not this language will already be included in WinHex 9.7.

An additional feature is the simple header/footer-based recovery function "File Retrieval" in the Tools -> Disk Accessories menu. Click here for details.
