Hi, Does anyone knows any application that while making a file list from a recovered job can test the files as well? Thanks. |

The request is fairly unspecific. Nevertheless: On a recovery attempt WinHex / X-Ways Forensics will generate a database of all files - existing or previously existing. From that database one can produce several file lists - depending on your needs. All known files can be verified ('tested') for their file type. This can be done even simultaneous with the file detection. But file type verification is not identical to verifying the files integrity - a file might be a fragment or otherwise corrupted. File integrity checking might be available in the future though. |

If you are looking for this sort of thing, it generates a file list and test the quality of the headers of the files. it seems like quote a complete solution. http://www.datarecoveryengineer.com |

This 'File Listing and Testing Software' seems a very nice solution for what we're looking for. Thanks. |
