hi there, i deleted my Documents Folder today at 04:02pm... i tryed many recovering tools but they all find just 2-3files.. now i wanna give winhex a try but dont know how i can use it best... can u please tell me how i can search the lost folder and perhaps recover it?? thank u all! |

The best way depends on the exact Windows version and the kind of file system. Make sure not to work with the system partition the deleted folder is residing on. Otherwise the chances of recovery are diminshing rapidly. The best way would be to image the particular partition into a file. |

You can use the option 'Previous version' in the hope it will find your deleted folder. Select username, then rightclick and choose 'properties'. In the properties window select 'Previous versions' and hopefully it will show previous versions of the username. If there are previous versions, just click on one of them and try to find your deleted folder. |
