Just returned from 2 wonderful weeks in the Maldives. On the last day we were just finishing the 128MB CF Card that we had and the camera (Powershot S40) threw up a "Data Corrupt" message and we have lost about 20 + images from the card. Strangely some others remain???
Is there any way to retrieve these images????

Can I access the card through the USB connection to the camera or do I need a cf card reader???
If so where do I get one cheap?

To find out if your camera card is accessible in Davory or WinHex as a logical drive or physical disk through the USB connection already it takes only a few mouse clicks. I can't tell from remote and don't know, sorry.
