How I can edit the Character Map? How I can make my own character map or edit the ASCII table?
It's possible?
Thanks...

You could switch to Options | Character Map | EBCDIC and tailor the ebcdic.dat file to your liking.

Hi again! I have edited the file "EBCDIC.DAT" correctly, but I have a problem...
When I go to the menu: Option -> Character Set -> EBCDIC, the characters that are shown, are all little "squares" (That's like it doesn't work well this function... ...and I've restarted the program, but it doesn't work... ...and I've changed the font, but it doesn't work). What is the reason of the problem?. What is wrong?...
Thanks in advance ;-)

I'm not an expert, but this is the file, in case
you want to test it. I've upload it here:

Please try to select the "WinHex" font in the General Options dialog window. "Courier" lacks many characters and displays squares instead.

I have changed the font to WinHex, but it's the same (didn't work)... I'm so sorry to bother you, only I'm trying your program (this seems very good). I'm HexWShop's ex-user, but your program has a lot of interesting features! (...and I'm liking very much your program). But in my 'old' program (HWS), I don't have this problem... Watch this screen-shot of WinHex:

I think that's a little 'bug' of your program... Can be a 'bug'?... See you, and thanks again :)

If you like you can send me your EBCDIC.dat file by e-mail (cannot download it from the address you specified). However, I don't think I can reproduce these squares here. Just a guess: Maybe this is related to your language settings in Windows.

I have changed my language settings in Windows (in the Control Panel), but it's the same (all are squares)...

Now, I think that the error is mine. The original 'EBCDIC.dat' doesn't show squares... So, How I can edit the 'EBCDIC.dat' file correctly? (I've edited the file with the same WinHex). It would be good to add a 'window' that allow to edit more easily the 'Character Map' to the user (Possibly I be editing the file badly). What about add a window like this in WinHex? (see this screenshot):

...Is it possible? What do you think?... :)
If you have another idea to solve the problem (to edit the file correctly), tell it to me please...
See you,
Bye!

Actually it should not be possible to edit the file incorrectly. Even if I fill it with random values it is still interpreted by WinHex correctly. Sorry, I don't know what is wrong.
