When I right click and Edit with Winhex on a shortcut (a .lnk file) Winhex actually opens the file pointed to rather than the .lnk file itself. Disturbing when it first happened. |

You could use drag & drop or File | Open instead. |

File/open doesn't work either - it follows the link just as does the context menu. The only way I can find to do it is by dropping the file from explorer into Winhex. Perhaps you should offer an option in the File/open to open the directory or lnk or whatever rather than follow it. |

Here under Windows 2000 WinHex does not follow the shortcut when using File | Open, and actually I thought it would work that way on any Windows version. |
