I swear that I used to be able to drag a file from Windows Explorer onto the XWF or WinHex window and the file would open. Now, it doesn't work for me. I'm running v15.4 with Vista Ultimate. Having the same problem on two machines. Any advice? Is there a setting in XWF that is preventing me from dragging the file into it? Thanks! Doug |

No, it is not XWF that is preventing you from doing that, but Vista, if in the Windows Explorer you have less access rights than in XWF or the other way around or whatever (I personally don't care much because I don't use Vista, and it's not a XWF issue, but a Vista feature). If you execute both programs with administrator rights for example it should work. |

Thanks, Stefan! I am running both XWF and WinHex with administrator rights and "full control" but still no luck. However, I can drag the file to the desktop icons for both programs and they open the file with no problem. In any event, a minor issue I'll just have to live with thanks to Vista... Doug |

> I am running both XWF and WinHex with administrator rights The point is that you need to have that in Windows Explorer, too, as I wrote, because you use drag & drop from the Windows Explorer to XWF or WinHex. You need to execute the Windows Explorer with administrator rights specifically for that to work. |
