I experience difficulties when processing the output of XWTrace. Access and Excel respond bad to broken records (e.g. line breaks in the resource column), and I also have to tweak around with locale setting so that these programs can consume the dates (and then manually concatenating them to time fields)... this all is very tedious. I wonder whether anyone has developed better practices to process the output. Are there tools that are better suited for analysis (e.g. to answer questions like "which visits point into http://*.some-web-hoster.com between 2009-01-01 11:00 and 2009-01-02 15:00"). I'd appreciate any ideas! Thanks. |
