Yes, it's a very simple suggestion, but it would make my own use of WinHex significantly easier, and I'd bet other people would appreciate it, too. I'm not sure how difficult or easy it would be to provide the option to display text under each toolbar button, but I'd love to see it (and perhaps tooltips as well). |

There are tooltips already, and I think this is sufficient. |

The tooltips don't appear for me at all (why would that be?). Even if they did appear, I'd still personally prefer toolbar text. People who use WinHex constantly may remember what the little icons represent, but more occasional users like me (and people, again like me, who have less-than-wonderful memory) like text. I'd also guess that a WinHex developer would know the toolbar icons well enough to think that text was unnecessary. Oh well, it was just a suggestion. I still plan to order a WinHex Specialist license... whenever the PayPal transfer feels like going through on my end. Thanks for reading, Stefan. |

Sorry, no idea why the tool tips do not appear on your computer. A toolbar is meant to be a quick way of accessing some important functions. Anyone who is not yet familiar with an application program will naturally use the menu, which has both the descriptive text and the icons. If you particularly like text, I recommend using the menu anyway. Text in a toolbar (like "Replace Hex Values" and "Create Drive Contents Table") in my opinion would be a waste of space and unnecessarily clutter the screen. |

Correction to my earlier statement - I get a tooltip on one (and only one) of the toolbar buttons; the rightmost one. The tooltip says "Contents". No other buttons have tooltips at all. |

The problem has been corrected in WinHex 11.1 SR-3. All tooltips appear correctly now. Thank you! |

Glad to hear that, but I cannot explain... |
