I recently upgraded to WinHex 11.14. After removing the older version and deleting it's folder .... installing the new version. Now everytime i open WinHex it dislpays an advertizment instead of the last place i was editing on the HD.
The place is in the recent file list but i would like it to open where i was at.
Can't find this in the general options, but it was working before.

I'm sorry, I probably do not understand. WinHex principally never displays any advertisement. What exactly is wrong with the recent file list, please? And are you referring to the recent file list in the File menu or in the Start Center?

I have a download of win hex but I can not open it to unzip the file

You could try WinZip to unzip the file. Or you could download again if the .zip file is broken.
