Hey guys To make a long story short, I play an online game, freeware. www.byond.com I played a game for 100 hrs, then i realized that I picked a class that sucks more then anything, and this other class can get the same stats i got in 10 minutes. They laughed at me, and killed me repeatably, and they thought they were the best things in the world, just because they can pick a rigged class Now I wanna get sweet revenge, I want to rig my stats and see them all sit there in awe as i rip them all apart, with the weakest class. I want to edit my characters save file, *not illegal, ive spoken to a lawyer* and just tear them all up. If you feel that you like me, and you wish to bring this injustice to a hault, please, PLEASE feel free to email me at kanzuite@hotmail.com and I will tell you a more in depth story and whatever else you wanna know YOU GUYS ROCK THX!!! |

I suggest you either try following the step-by-step instructions in RAM Cheat, or use the file comparison in WinHex to find out where certain stats are stored in saved game files. Good luck! |

k, the cheat, it asks for a dll, not only do i not know which one to pick, but I cant seem to find one that would probably be used in my game. Not only that, but im not even sure what a dll is, i just know its something. But i guessed it was Kendel32 or something, and it asked me to take a snapshot, what is this about??? There arent many step by step instructions, just stuff that they assume you already know. If you could help me get started id be greatful thx |

You have to pick the running process which represents the game in which you want to cheat. The processes are listed as abbreviated filenames. If in doubt, see how the .exe file of your game is named to find the right process. RAM Cheat takes a so-called "snapshot" to save a current memory status in a file, for later comparison. E.g if you gain money in the game or lose lives, some bytes in main memory will change, and RAM Cheat will hopefully notice the difference when taking another snapshot later. That way it finds out where to manipulate the memory when you want to cheat. Step-by-step instructions: Simply press F1 for the program help and select the topic entitled "Step by Step". |

Re: Duhhhvid Not worth your time Stefan. If this guy weren't so selfish he would realize software does not write itself and money is required sooner or later. He is obviously the type of person who goes through life expecting "something for nothing" and fully intends to keep it that way. Leech is a suitable name for him. I have just downloaded the demo version of WinHex. I am a new user of this type of software and would be much more compelled to spend the money on a licence just knowing that your support is available as opposed to most freeware. Viewing this forum, you obviously understand your product very well. You must be glad to go home some days! Andy |

Yo Duhhh, you can find free Hex. editors online for download. You just have to look a bit for them. Heck, I've even made one before...it was not fancy, but I could edit games as long as I knew what the Hexidecimal address was. So stop ur complaining about how u have to pay for something u could get for free. >_< P.S.-It might be illegal to edit the file if you are paying for it...such as if u were a member of Mystic Journey and u changed ur char...that's illegal. |

Illegal or not, it's against byond rules to edit any save file unless you created the game or were given express permission by the creator. |
