My question is quite simple, but I am afraid the answer is not, so if you are not an advanced hex editor user ignore the post. I am currently editing an old DOS game and, until now, I am 90% successful with it. But the problem is that the files I am concerned about are compressed (fortunately not high level compression, as I can understand) and not all data is accessible (about 5% can't be located). I searched about a decompressor but was unable to find a suitable one. I would appreciate if you tell me what is required to make such a decompressor on my own. I suppose I need to know a programming language. If yes, which one do you suggest? What else maybe of use in my case?
