I recovered a total of 45MB from my digital camera of 14MB capacity. The pictures that I've cut/pasted to PC several minutes before the recovery operation were successfully recovered and are perfectly viewable. Other files, incl. jpeg and mpg format, that have been created and deleted earlier, were also recovered BUT are NOT viewable (ACDSee reports no errors but shows plain black screen; IrfanView says "Can't read file header! Unknown file format!"). As for the MPG files, the VLC player shows no image BUT plays sound for all of them. Presuming that the MPG files still have kept sound, we may conclude that the recovery operation DOES bring back the original data - partially, though. Now, it's hard to believe that the images are unrecoverable (for viewing). There must be some way out! |
