I have a jpg file with 2 different views, (1) thumbnail view and (2) actual jpg view. These two views are not the same. I noticed that there were two headers within the file and being a novice I removed the 1st header, however that only gives me the view equal to thumbnail and not view 2. I would appreciate any guidelines to help split the 2 pictures. Thanks in advanced. Matti |

Simply run a "File Recovery by Type" on the original file, telling WinHex to recover files based on the JPG signature and to search at the byte level. This should come up with separate files for thumbnail and actual picture. |

Hi Jens Thank you for your advice. I managed to separate the thumbnail, however Winhex creates an identical file to the original displaying thumbnail and actual picture. Would like to claify whether this normal or have I done something wrong. Thanks again. |

No, this is normal: After all, the original was found while searching, too... ;-) |
