Hi....I'm a new user of the Shareware program WinHex 9.2. I'm having problems understanding how to change something from a saved game file of mine. Actually the game is called Dbz.nn and I wanted to change my strength and speed stats. How wood I go about doing this?

The command "Combined Search" was especially designed for editing files created by computer games to save the game state. If you know the value of a variable in two of such files, you can find out the offset, i. e. the position, at which this data is saved.

Example: If one saved game file holds the information that you have 5 points/lives/..., and another file 7, search simultaneously for the hex value 05 in the first and 07 in the second file.

For more information on hexadecimal numbers, please see the topic "Using a Hex Editor" in the program help. And if you need more help, please feel free to post your questions here.
