This may be a stupid question but... Is there a way to do a simple filename search of an image file? I don't want to search for text withing a file I just want to search for all occurances of a paticular filename. |

Bring up a recursive view of the root directory. E.g. right-click the root directory in the directory tree for that. Result: All files from all subdirectories will be listed. Now go to Options | Directory Browser and enter a filename filter, like "invoice*.doc". Now only files whose names match this expression will be listed, from all subdirectories. |

Hello, I used this option and worked, however I need that xways show me only the directory that have the files specified on the filter in Directory Browser. In another words, I need to see only the files and the directories where the files are located. Can I do this? |

You need to see the directories, i.e. the directory names? Then simply make the Path column visible. Or, if you need to get a listing of the directories themselves, tag all the files, then include directories in the recursive view and select to see tagged or half-tagged items only. Then all the non-tagged directories will be filtered out. |
