One of my SD card became corrupted during a write cycle when the card reader became disconnected from the USB port. Windows XP cannot read, format or erase, nor can various "restore" programs. I don't need to recover any data or pictures, just restore the card to function. I have identical SD cards to do any cloning or sector write-overs. Assuming that the elctronics in the card are not physically fried, is it likely that I could repair the card by using WinHex, and what tools would most likely return the card to usable status? |

> Assuming that the elctronics in the card are not physically fried If WinHex can read the card (try Tools | Open Disk in the evaluation version, select the card as a physical medium), then you could e.g. clone that card over with a healthy one of the same size and that might help to revive it. |
