I just installed ver 13 SR 8 of WinHex and have the personal lic. I opened logical drive HD0 (C drv) and took a snapshot. The disk is a 300GB FAT32 drive. At the end of the snapshot a message box opened displaying "Drive C: Invalid, corrupt or unexpected directory entry found at offset 24636320." Unless I'm doing something wrong, this points to the first byte of the volume label which looks OK to me. I can send a screen shot if that will help.

Thanks for the screenshot. WinHex does not expect a volume label except in the very first cluster of the root directory, that's why it outputs this message. Will change that.

hi,

i am working on FAT16 implementation on SD card.
I have a problem, when i created a folder in the root directory, the folder appears in the SD card(in my computer) but i could not open the directory, windows throws an error. when i opened using winhex it shows "Drive F: Invalid, corrupt or unexpected directory entry found at offset 3D020". i could view the directory entry in root directory entry(template),like file name , starting cluster etc, but i could not see the directory in the
main page(it has root directory folder, autorun, deleted files and folders etc.)

regards

stanley
