first! sorry about my English! i am korean! Wow~~~~~

i have one question.
i modify file entry DataRuns in $DATA attribute use WinHex.
and Save... but Windows is not update this file...

after modify, windows still Open File Normally.
Why this problem occur?

For example because that NTFS volume was mounted as drive letter and Windows kept a buffer for it, which that it overwrote your edited data runs.

Would you tell me the way how to not to overwrite the edited data(cluster) runs from disk buffer?

Unmount the drive letter in Windows disk management. Then open the partition (through the hard drive, since the drive letter is not available any more) and make the changes. Afterwards assign the drive letter again.
