Hi All, I have been using Winhex for many years, but i would like to ask i have a SATA and it is spinning the BIOS can not see it nor can windows or winhex, can someone please post how the disk editing tools can open a damged disk that can not be seen by windows or Winhex, or are there any MS dos utilities with Winhex to help me recover the disk, Many thanks for your help Regards Martin |

Martin, "spinning" does not necessarily equate to "recognizing." I'd try replacing the controller board on the drive, after researching the nuances of the paricular make and model. It's not always as straightforward as taking a board from a like drive. |

your hdd is SATA1 or SATA2? 845,865,K8M800,not support SATA2 but you can jumper trun to SATA1 |

You are talking about not referring to the disk in the windows can not access or bios, you can not identify it? If this is the case can not be winhex visit to this disk. |
