Hi, Does anyone know of a way, when comparing two disks at the sector level, in two synchronized windows, to quickly jump to the next region of similarity (or difference, if you are in the middle of a large region of similarity)? When viewing large disks (i.e. >100g), the scroll bar is too "coarse", and paging up/down to the next sector is too "fine". What I need to do is quickly determine the ranges of sectors that "match" between two badly damaged drives from a RAID1 array. Any tips greatly appreciated, even if involving different software that has this ability. Haven't been able to find anything... Thanks |

I would use the arrow buttons that appear on the screen whin in Synchronize & Compare to jump to the next section of different or identical byte values. |

That helps a lot Stefan. Thanks. It wasn't immediately obvious what the buttons did, other than "Searching", which seemed hung, so I closed the dialog. I missed it in the docs, somehow. But if I scroll close to the area where the diff starts/ends, then this seems really useful. Thanks again. |

> which seemed hung This feature could use a progress bar to help confirm that is has not 'hung'. |

No need to post the same suggestion multiple times. If you need a confirmation that the application has not hung you merely need press Alt+Tab twice, temporarily switch to another application via the taskbar, or press Pause or Esc. |
