Several DVD/CD-based media lately have been giving me the following error message when I try to open them (either as Logical Drives or Physical Media): "This UDF Volume uses Virtual Partitions, which are not yet supported, sorry. UDF: Expected File Set Descriptor not found Unexpected tag 0" I can image the disc but I cannot see the individual files/folders. I am also unable to "Interpret Image File As Disk" properly; the same error message appears. Any suggestions? Doug |

That is not an error. There are some special features of UDF that are simply not supported. Also it is not that important to support them because support for UDF in Windows is quite complete, and data on CD/DVDs is naturally very well write-protected. If you would like to see the files in the directory browser in X-Ways Forensics, you could hold Shift and Ctrl while opening the logical drive letter. Then select "(Logical FS)" and click OK. This will cause X-Ways Forensics to retrieve directory listings and to open files through the operating system. |
