Hallo, I have folders on my PC which cannot be deleted. I have tryed several methods to achieve this, no progress. When trying to access this folder, just "access has been denieded" error appeard. When I tryed to get ownership of this folder, error occures (please note that I have admin rights, and did everything what is possible to allow deleting and getting ownership etc). With several disk tools, I am able to access this folder, and even to "save" files from it (by copying to another drive), but I havent found any tool which allows me to delete it. I have used several helps from this page (eg rmdir //?:/C:/xxx ...), no success. I do not want to format drive to delete this folders (but they takes GBs of space (it is mp3s). Thanks for any help. P.

could it be that the path including filenames is longer than 256 signs?
If yes, try the following:
Start at root and rename the directories, e.g. from C:\thisisalongpathname to C:\t.
Then do this with the next directory and so on.

If this does not work you could try it with a KNOPPIX CD - this is a Linux BootCD where the Windows rights are "not so important" (simply spoken). Simply google for it.
