Please, if someone can help me. I've a PCMCIA card formatted and used on a Solaris 8 SparcStation. After inserting this card in a "normal" PC, Windows XP tells me that the card is not formatted Using Winhex and opening the phisical card I see a FAT16 partition. Entering in the partition I see the files and I can also save them. Does anyone have an idea? I have several printscreens but I don't know how to attach them here. Greetings Gianluca |

I am not sure what you want to do with the card. Do you want to copy it /run it on to the Windows machine? If yes, I would first create a backup of the card with Winhex. Then you should try to "INITIALIZE" the card under Windows. To do this go into Explorer, click on the sign above Diskette A: - right mouse button (context menu)- administrate - harddrive administration. Your card should be shown there. Choose your medium and then context menu (right mouse button) on the left side where the medium number is shown "initalize". If your card is not shown there you will have a small problem. But first lets see... |
