I've just started reading up on editing a hdd partition table using winhex templates. Its the first time I've had to do this. The partition table on a hdd I have at the moment has only one entry which is garbage. There are three intact ntfs partitions which the winhex scan recovered flawlessly. I want to edit the partition table to show these three partitions, hence reading up on template editing at the moment. For the majority of users this is probably quite simple but I'm rusty in the disk editing area. With a wish list growing out of control already I'm hesitant in asking but is it difficult to add a function (for dummies) that edits the partition table to list partitions(current and lost)highlighted in the right window pane of winhex? That's probably what template editing is for but the emphasis is on inexperienced users. Thanks |

> but is it difficult to add a function [...] Maybe not, but WinHex has never ever been an automated repair program, and I would rather leave it as is and do something else. |
