I have a file on our USERS drive
F:\users\staff\staffac\aw\histroy.IE5\desktop.ini

I cant find anyway to delete this file, no matter what i try and do to it, i get access denied and i'm the administrator!!!

I would like to use WinHex to remove all trace of this file, but how?

Is this a FAT-formatted, local drive? If so, we could give you complete instructions.

Adam, the desktop.ini file you are refering to is a file used to customise folders see here - http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/shellcc/platform/shell/programmersguide/shell_basics/shell_basics_extending/custom.asp - why do you want to delete this file?
