I opened the RAM of a process and tried to search for a string. I then got Error #2 Cannot read "Entire memory". I get the same thing if I only read primary memory. The "waiting bar" stops at 27%. I should mention that I use Windows XP and I do not (and cannot get) administrator rights on the computer. Though, I have attempted to start WinHex using "run as" and unchecking the "Protect the computer or its data against unauthorised usage". Regards, David |

Well, that can happen if the page allocation in an active process changes. You won't encounter that situation when you search the physical memory. |
