Bump this thread from the dead.... Trying to find all the .gifs contained in an S19 file is there an easier method other than going thru the file manually?. Yes I am extremely new to this and have very little experiance working on this type of project. But I learn quick.. I was reading about the scripts but can not seem to figure out exactly how to create what I want. I know the start of the block and the end goind thru manually is killing me... Any help will be greatly appreciated. Oh nice site... Thanks Robert PS. Working on a Motoroal S19 from an Iden phone. If having the file makes helping easier let me know I have plenty of copy's |

Tools|Disk Tools|File Recovery by Type should be easier than trying to do this manually. It is described in Help|Contents|Data Recovery|Automatic recovery of files of a certain type. |

First, of course, you would need to convert the Motorola S file to a binary file. Edit | Convert | Motorola S -> Binary. Then you could apply File Recovery by Type to that binary file. |

thanks for responding so fast. I tried your suggestions and nothing is found. I converted " I knew that part" Went to tools and followed what you both said. But it doesnt pick anything out... The Gifs in the binary start out GIF98a and end with ; Is there a way to set it to search for that? Thanks |
