My shop recovers files from media (card, stick, chip, whatever) sent to us by customers. Very often, the media (medium?) is physically damaged. As a first step, assuming that the media may be failing, we like to image the media and do further analysis on the image. WinHex would be GREAT for that, if not for the constant popups complaining about unreadable sectors, CRC failures, etc. Is there any way to set a flag or switch to tell it "Thank you, but my mouse finger is tired now. Please read what you can, place zeros in all unreadable sectors, turn off the warning acknowledgment popups, and FINISH THE JOB WITHOUT BOTHERING ME ANYMORE"? Maybe I'm blind, but I can't find it in the program's options (We're using 10.52 SR-1 (registered as 9.92, whatever that means) or on this website. The scripting support doesn't seem to have anything like what we're looking for. Would a newer version support this? |

Sorry, don't remember how it worked 5 years ago. Nowadays there is such an option to log read errors silently. > registered as 9.92, whatever that means Means that your licensed was issued for WinHex 9.92 = you purchased WinHex 9.92. |
