Hello I am new to winhex and was curious of what initializing either slack space and free space does i know what they are sort of but when i start to initialize slack space I see file names that still exist on my computer in the progress box does that mean it is deleting my files like my anime episodes and music or does it mean it is deleting the already "deleted" files by windows? because i do not want to zero out my hard drive or something I have alot of important information for school on here because all I am looking for is something that will zero out files I deleted and still exist in chunks |

> I see file names These are the names of the files whose slack is wipe. The contents of existing files are not wiped when initializing file slack. > I am looking for is something that will zero out files I deleted In that case initializing free space and slack is exactly right. Please note that however you can only use these functions with the full version, so please consider ordering a license. |
