Does anyone know of an SAS controller that will allow copying of a single SAS drive without having to initialise?

We have several controllers all of which need to initialise a SAS drive in order to see it in winhex.

I use LSI logic SAS3041. It comes in 64-bit PCI-X and 4x PCIe slots.

It says it's a RAID card, but it will pass through JBODs.

So you do not need to initialise?

Will it keep the data intact?

No, never initialize anything you want to preserve and it will keep the data intact. The key is to look for a card that supports JBODs and the one I listed works for me.
