Using WinHex v15.0 specialist licence on Win XP SP3. File -> Create Disk Image with a WinHex backup (.whx), specifying a path and filename (i.e. not using the Backup Manager), WinHex gives no warning if that file already exists and overwrites it on backup. It's not major issue, unless the overwritten file was important(!), but it's the only place I've found where WinHex doesn't issue a well-advised warning, and wondered if it was an oversight. |

Yes, an oversight. Also the WHX backup functionality is many years old and has never been overhauled. |

Do I see a change in v15.0 SR-2? It now asks if you're sure you want to overwrite the file, even if it doesn't exist. |
