Hi, I am looking for software capable of wiping servers without needing to be prompted for boot media. If it has to be run off of a WinPE RAMDISK that would work, but ideally it would have it's own bootloader. Can X-Ways Security do complete DoD wipes on SCSI RAID arrays without requiring an external boot media? My company has nearly 200 servers spread over a huge geographic area to wipe. |

you want to wipe the free space of the HD - or the whole HD (SCSI RAID) while running the Windows system from c: ? Wiping the free space of the HD should be no problem (except some kB) - but wiping the (several) HD (s) will be, I think. First of all Security asks you if the HD really shall be wiped if you want to destroy c: and run Security from C:. As a second it should stop at a certain time if you destroyed too much of Windows (if I remember right - it is several years ago since I "tested" this). But I never tested if you could keep a virtual machine alive - but I suppose you will not. |
