Owners of licenses with active access to updates (not licenses for educational use) can order Excire for X-Ways Forensics (https://www.x-ways.net/excire.html) for those licenses with a 25% discount. A coupon code is provided in license status messages (http://www.x-ways.net/winhex/license.html). This offer is valid only for orders placed by April 24, 2022.

The Excire download package was updated. Marking faces for the search of known faces was revised and now supports orientation exif tags in JPEG files, tentatively also in TIFF files.

A new Excire PhotoAI package is now downloadable for licensed users and trial users, from the same directory as before, compatible with X-Ways Forensics 20.6.

* A new category "Forensics" was added, which contains the below new keywords that some users may want to look for or get automatically categorized as notable. It is visible for categorization purposes only in X-Ways Forensics 20.6 SR-1.

* Both handguns and long guns can now be quite reliably identified in photos and distinguished from one another. They are grouped together as "weapons". In some cases knives may also be identified as weapons.

* Pills and powder can now usually be identified. They are defined as the constituents of a new group called "drugs".

* Nudity in various degrees and pornography (NSFW pictures, explicit pictures) are now typically identified as "nudity". AND combinations of nudity plus child or teenager are automatically predefined as notable in fresh installations of X-Ways Forensics 20.6 SR-1 if you enable categorizations.

* The previously supported keyword "act" was renamed to "nude photography" for clarity. Pictures identified that way may have more aesthetic or artistic value than those identified as "nudity", but that is not guaranteed.
